Maashouk Gathering
South Gatherings
The gathering was created in 1948 after the Arab-Israeli war. The refugees first settled in villages in southern Lebanon and then moved to Mashouk. It is located 3 km east of Tyre city on the main road leading to Borj Al Shemale camp. The land is public and belongs to the Lebanese government. The refugees are occupying the land illegally.
